Plan for Possible Evacuation
Would you or a loved one require additional assistance in an emergency? The Albany County Sheriff’s Office manages the Evacuation Functional Needs 911 Registry for persons who need evacuation assistance. During an emergency, first responders are notified of any functional needs a person has.
Examples of conditions that might limit your ability to evacuate:
- Advanced age
- Artificial limbs
- Severe asthma
- Heart condition
- Bedridden
- Visually impaired
- Hearing impaired
- Wheelchair dependent
All information in this voluntary registry will be used for emergency purposes only and is kept strictly confidential.
